About Us

Beyond Psychosis exists to walk beside people navigating some of the most misunderstood and isolating mental health experiences: psychosis, voice-hearing, vision-seeing, and other non-ordinary states of consciousness.
We work with NDIS participants and others who are living with, or have recently experienced, psychosis — including those with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, trauma-related psychosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with psychosis-related symptoms. Many of the people we support hear voices, see visions, or experience altered states that Western psychiatry often labels as extreme.
Our focus is not on general mental health conditions such as depression or anxiety in isolation. While these experiences may be part of someone’s journey, we are not a generalist service — our expertise lies in supporting people whose lives are directly shaped by psychosis-related experiences.
We believe support should be more than symptom management. Guided by trauma-informed practice, lived experience, and inspiration from the Hearing Voices Network, we create spaces where people are seen, heard, and empowered to move toward recovery, transformation, and a life defined by their own creativity, purpose, and humanity.
The journey we walk with people is not linear. It’s a spiral—where setbacks, breakthroughs, and deeper self-understanding are all part of the path. Whether someone is feeling completely overwhelmed by voices or visions, or stepping into a new chapter of self-leadership, we meet them exactly where they are.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to offer intentional, holistic support that moves beyond the basics. This means one-on-one guidance, practical tools, psychoeducation, and community connection—all rooted in compassion and collaboration.
We’re not here to fix people. We’re here to walk with them, every step of the way.
Anthony Vidal is the founder and visionary behind Beyond Psychosis. His work has been shaped by hundreds of hours spent walking alongside people living with psychosis and other complex mental health challenges. Through this deep, front-line experience, Anthony saw firsthand how fragmented, surface-level, and disconnected much of the current system of care can be—often focused more on managing symptoms than genuinely supporting people through transformation.
Feeling a growing sense of frustration with the status quo, Anthony was inspired to create something radically different: a support model rooted in presence, purpose, and true partnership. Beyond Psychosis was born from his desire to offer a more intentional and transformational approach—one that doesn’t just offer help, but genuinely walks the journey with people from distress into meaning, from survival into self-leadership. His work is driven by a bold vision: to reimagine what care can look like when it’s deeply human.
